The Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), amended most recently in the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA), specifies institutional and financial aid information that must be made available to students, employees, and prospective students and employees. The College Navigator website was developed by the Department of Education as a free consumer tool for students and their families to provide consumer information. This site uses IPEDS data and other data sources and offers a wide range of information including programs offered, retention and graduation rates, prices, aid available, degrees awarded, campus safety, and accreditation.
